Ibn Khaldun Fellowships 2024

01 October, 2024

We were honored to host a distinguished MIT and KACST delegation led by Dr. Kamal Youcef-Toumi, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Ibn Khaldun Fellowship. The delegation met with Dean Chak Chan, PSE Division; Prof. Osman Bakr, Vice Provost; Prof.Salim AlBabli, Associate Dean Faculty of BESE; and Gavin Gomez, KAUST Registrar. This visit aimed to promote the Fellowship to Saudi women pursuing their PhDs and to strengthen connections between the delegation and KAUST leadership.

The Ibn Khaldun Fellowship, sponsored by KACST at MIT, has benefited 55 Saudi Female alums, including 11 from KAUST!

This event provided a valuable opportunity to explore growth prospects for our PhD graduates, learn about available research projects at MIT, reflect on the successes of past KAUST recipients, and discuss potential future collaborations.
