Alumni Affairs hosted a hybrid Back to KAUST reunion on Saturday November 13, 2021, bringing the global alumni community together for a special celebration. With 165 participants in-person, and 110 online, it was a memorable afternoon of reconnecting alumni with each other, and with KAUST.

President Tony F. Chan welcomed reunion participants, and reminded alumni of their lifelong connection to KAUST. “Regardless of how long ago you graduated – whether it was in Spring 2021, or in 2010, you are an invaluable member of our KAUST community and family; and you always will be. Your connection and involvement is vital to our continued success,” he said. 

 With a focus on celebrating innovation and impact, the program offered keynote presentations from the alumni community and KAUST faculty, as well as entertainment from alumni musicians. Online participants didn’t miss out, with livestream (and on-demand) access to the program. While the evening reception at KAUST was unfolding in-person, our online participants all over the world enjoyed a virtual networking event hosted by social media ambassadors in Europe, Saudi Arabia, and North America.
