On July 12, 2024, the KAUST China Alumni Chapter was invited to visit the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA) in Beijing. The delegation, led by Dr. Lau Felix Chunpong, Vice President of the KAUST China Alumni Chapter, included alumni Mr. Yan Feng, Dr. Gao Yangqin, Dr. Sun Qilin, and Mr. Ren Yi. The meeting was attended by Mr. Li Min, Secretary General of WRSA, and Mr. Teng Jianfeng, Deputy Secretary General of WRSA, who warmly welcomed the delegation.

During the meeting, the KAUST China Alumni Chapter delegation gained valuable insights into WRSA's pivotal role in promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and connecting overseas scholars. In turn, WRSA learned about the development history and achievements of KAUST and its alumni, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two organizations.
