It was an honor for Alumni Affairs to be in conversation recently with KAUST's first Ibn Khaldun (IBK) Fellowship recipient to MIT, Dr Haleema Alamri, and KAUST Assistant Professor and IBK Fellow Dana Alsuliaman.

Dr Alamri, whose early career was with Saudi Aramco, is now the Director of the Innovation & Technology Foresight Dept with the Ministry of Petroleum, and Dr Alsuliaman is an Assistant Professor of Material Science and Engineering at KAUST.

This inspirational session gave KAUST students and alumni an opportunity to ask questions of Dr Alamri and Dr Alsuliaman, as both reflected on how the IBK Fellowships, and MIT, was life-changing. Current and previous IBK Fellows among KAUST’s alumni community are: Dalal Alezi, Wedyan Babatain, Seba Nadeef, Amira Alazmi, Shahad AlSaiairi and Haleema Alamri.
